Senior Care Services and Same-Day Caregiver Staffing
We offer a comprehensive array of care services for seniors and people living with disabilities in Victoria and Richmond, B.C. We provide full-time, part-time, and on-call care — as well as same-day staffing when required. Our caregivers are passionate about making the care journey a joyful one for you or your loved ones.
Personal Care
For many seniors and disabled individuals, personal care can be a challenge. We help with basic personal hygiene such as:
- bathing
- nail trimming
- shaving
- using the toilet
- oral care
Maintaining good hygiene is vital for overall health and well-being. We view this support as crucial for patients and as a vital part of the care we provide.
We can customize care plans for challenging situations and train our in-house staff to address your needs, even as they change. If you have a special requirement, please let us know about your difficulties.
Special Needs Support
We can assist with respite for loved ones and full-time caregivers by providing personalized support for those with challenging conditions: Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, down syndrome, multiple sclerosis, post-dialysis fatigue, other physical disabilities, and any special needs.
We strive to match personalities. Our caregivers are carefully selected, based on the attitudes and preferences of our adult patients and the young people with disabilities who we serve. The best care comes from someone who is deeply empathetic and mutually compatible.
Domestic Services
Our caregivers can assist with daily household chores, such as meal preparation, dishes, laundry, vacuuming, de-cluttering, and any light cleaning duties.
Clients and staff very much enjoy the fine art of cooking together. Our caregivers are willing to learn any simple recipe you might request. They can also cook independently, plan meals in advance, or support you with basic tasks like washing, peeling, and chopping. Your care worker can follow simple recipes, or learn more complicated ones with support and a dietician’s recommendations.
Transportation
Being active within the community is an important habit for helping seniors and disabled people maintain well-being and independence. We are here to support.!
If you own a vehicle but have trouble driving, our staff will help you with getting around for errands, appointments, and social activities. We can match you with a caregiver who has a valid driver’s license or one familiar with local transit routes. When care plans allow, we like to see patients get outside daily, at least for a little fresh air. Having someone at your side makes independence a whole lot easier.
Mobility Assistance
Sometimes people need assistance moving from point A to point B. Our staff are well trained in operating a range of devices, including common types of wheelchairs, walkers, and canes. They also have experience with helping someone safely navigate stairs.
Many of our team members provide therapeutic massage. Their support can improve circulation and mobility, allowing seniors and those with disabilities to move about the world more freely.
Companionship
When someone experiences loneliness, their overall health suffers. Our caregivers provide a friendly presence from day one, and those relationships build over time. These positive connections begin with active listening from our staff, and that principle is a cornerstone of our training.
One of care workers, Sophia, put it well. She said: “with age comes wisdom, and I am blessed to work with those processing so much wisdom.” Her words remind us that caring is a two-way street. Our staff have the opportunity to learn and grow through their important, evolving work in the community.
